I anticipate some of you are going to want to know how “Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin” is going to be different from any other classifieds plugin already available. Well, to be honest with you, I’m not necessarily trying to create this application to compete with anything that’s already out there. It’s here to present “another” classified plugin option, not to replace anything that’s already out there. Competition is not my focus and therefore I haven’t been studying any of the classifieds plugins to see how mine compares. I do know that I reviewed a couple of plugins for my client before I decided building her a plugin from scratch would be the best option and I wasn’t pleased with a few things about the way they integrated with blogs that weren’t specifically meant to be run as a classifieds blog.
This plugin is being developed for admins who just want to add a classifieds feature to their blog rather than for those who want to build a classifieds website using wordpress. In other words, say you have a blog that’s about celebrity gossip, and you decide you want to make it possible for your website visitors to sell stuff to each other while they’re hanging around reading about the goings on in Hollywood, this plugin will enable you to do that.
