UPDATED September 14th 2009 – Obviously there is nothing to gossip about with the subject of cancer and gossiping about Patrick Swayze no longer being young and vital was not the intention. Bad choice of title and bad judgment in doing a comparison post that shows a healthy Patrick in contrast to Patrick Swayze suffering with cancer. I plead guilty and accept all insults as deserved.

My wife is suffering with this since January. Tonight is very sad, Patrick has been an inspiration to all pancreatic cancer sufferers. We feel a bit more lost.

I’ve just watched Dirty Dancing for the first time ever, even though I was only in my twenties when the film came out and so I really don’t know why I didn’t see it back then, but I can see why he was such a big hit, he was gorgeous, what a fantastic body and such a stupendous dancer. I fell in love with him in Ghost, once again he was brilliant but now seeing him in dirty dancing I’ve fallen in love with him all over again. Patrick will be truly missed by us all, but never forgotten.

Dear Patrick when you get to heaven would you please take care of my younger brother. George passed away on April 10,2008 at the age of 51,he also lived with pancreatic cancer. Like you he never gave up and lived each day with great courage. I watched as you went from this strong handsome man to just a shell of yourself and it broke my heart. George lived 27 months with this disease and died a painful death. I too am sorry that you were not able to be a father here on this earth but look at all the children in heaven that you can love. I hope that someday I will be able to meet you and maybe we will share a dance.
