Moving Categories
You can move categories from one parent to another, or make a parent category a child of another parent category, or make a child category a parent category. To move categories check the box next to the category name(s), select an option from the “Select Move-To category” drop down list and press the “Move Selected Categories” button.
Children categories are not included in the “Select Move-To category” list; therefore, if you want to make a child category a parent category, you need to edit the individual category using the edit icon under the “Action” column. When you click the edit icon it will replace the “Add New Category” box to the left of the categories display list with a form for you to edit the selected category. To make the child category a parent simply select “Save as Top Level Category”.
