Th Browse Ads page is a child page created under the main classifieds entry page. The Browse Ads page uses the shortcode [AWPCPBROWSEADS] If this shortcode is missing or otherwise contains an error the page will not work. You can name this page anything you want. To avoid potential problems please edit the page names from within your Classifieds admin page, not from wordpress.
The browse ads page handles clicks on the “Browse Ads” menu link. When clicked it will display a listing of ads in the system. By default it will display the ads in the order of most to least recently posted. You can change to make it display in any of the following orders:
- Most Recent
- Title
- Paid first then most recent
- Paid first then title
- Most viewed then title
- Most viewed then most recent
If you don’t like the default layout of the Browse Ads page and you know a little PHP, you can create a custom layout in the file awpcp_display_ads_my_layout.php then activate the use of this layout over the default and the system will use your layout instead of the default to show your listings when someone is on the Browse Ads page.
As long as the Browse Ads page contains the shortcode and the shortcode is correct [AWPCPBROWSEADS] , the Browse Ads page will work out of the box without any issues related to the path setting as it is fulling functional under the wordpress paging sytem, requiring no additional information to be passed other than the shortcode.
