Editing Categories

editcategoryThe options for editing a category include changing the name of the category, moving the category to a new parent, making a parent category a child of another parent category, making a child category a parent category.

You edit your categories by clicking on Manage Categories from your classifieds admin page.

The manage categories page loads with a listing of your current categories to the right of an “Add New Category” form. Next to each category name under a column with the heading “Action” there are 2 icons if you don’t have the Category Icons Module installed. With the category Icons module installed there are 3 icons. The edit icon by default is an icon with a pencil.

To edit a category, click the icon with the pencil to open the category details for editing. The category details will open for editing in a form on the left. Simply make your changes then click the “Edit Category” button to save your changes.
