Links in ad

If you are not allowing HTML in ads (recommended you do not), you can still provide the ability for users to put links in their ad text. Of course, you will want to be mindful of spammers in choosing to provide users the ability to put links in their ad text, or more to the point, in choosing to make links that are added to ad text clickable.

If you decide to make links that users insert in their ad text clickable, you do this by going to your classifieds admin options page and clicking the Ad/Listing Settings tab. From the Ad/Listings Settings page look for and check the option:

Make URLs in ad text clickable

This option is actually checked by default in versions 1.0.5.8 and earlier. As of version 1.0.5.9 it will be unchecked by default. So if you installed before version 1.0.5.9, you are already allowing URLs to be clickable, in which case if you prefer to make urls not clickable you will need to uncheck the above option.
